Solving Mysteries, One Fan at a Time
What started off as a text image of an empty AHU chamber and a cry for help, turned out to be a solution by Byrne Electric Motors.
The original fan had been missing for several years with no records of what was in the unit before. This AHU was manufactured in 1998, so any chance of finding records of it was slim. A bit of a mystery, but given I have recently entered into my 29th year of fan/pump/motor solving, it wasn’t an issue.
A quick visit to the site and Byrne Electric Motors had the solution. Not only did we identify the fan requirements, but we also supplied a fan that is 100% exact in flow, pressure, and most importantly for the installer, it keeps to the same measurements and bolt holes. A brand new Nicotra forward curved fan.
We were also able to determine what motor was supplied in the AHU, so we supplied one of those as well. A brand new 2-speed Mez motor.
